Head to Oklahoma
Broken Bow and Beavers Bend State Park
We would be remiss if we skipped over the most popular and widely mentioned spot to rent a Cabin in the Woods – Broken Bow, OK (Beavers Bend State Park)
Just 3 hours away from North Dallas in Eufalia, Oklahoma and you’ll find a variety of Cabins and Cottages to rent for weekends and weeks.
This Master planned community on Lake Eufalia has a fully functioning Boat Club, Parks and Pools and a Working Farm. It’s more upscale than some places, but you can find a variety of different types of rentals that fit your family and your needs.
Hot Springs, Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita
Head North to Arkansas and due East and you’ll reach the super quaint Hot Springs, with it’s old-world architecture and of course – Hot Springs in their famous bathhouses.
Nestled in a valley and close to Lake Hamilton and local river areas, the hiking is great as well as the amount of outdoor activities available. Lake Ouachita is also a popular destination to stay at – the water is clear at both lakes and they have a variety of Marinas where you can rent boats and lake toys for the day!
Why not Rent an RV?
If you’re thinking about going on a cross country road trip, camping, or renting an RV for a special event, RVshare makes the whole process simple, easy, and fun!
Getting behind the wheel of a motorhome is a great way to explore the country while still having all the comforts of home.
Did you know that going on an RV vacation is one of the most economical ways to travel with your family? On average you can save up to 57% on vacation costs compared to other forms of travel
Lake Ouachita is beautiful and the edge is in Hot Springs, but going West out of Hot Springs towards Mt. Ida has better camping and parts of the lake (Mountain Harbor or Crystal Springs).
Floating the rivers are also fun (Ouachita and Buffalo are favorites).
