The best option is always to find local gyms with childcare if you have younger kids. Don’t look any further, as we have some great choices for you around North Dallas, Plano, and Frisco.
Quick Overview – Childcare at Local Gyms
What ages do they accept?
Each location has different minimum ages. Most accept toddlers and pre-schoolers up to 11 year olds, with a select few who accept babies (mostly from 6 months upwards).
Do you need a reservation?
Some of these locations do require it, especially for the youngest kids. Many are only able to accept a limited number, based on their childcare licensing and staff availability. This is to keep ratios low.
Is it included in the membership?
Some gyms do include childcare or a set number of hours per month in their rates, which are traditionally higher. Some require you to add it on for an additional cost (usually per session or per month). It is always best to check with the gym directly for clarity.

Childcare available for 3 months to 11 years old
Lifetime Fitness is a premium fitness club that often includes childcare at select locations (check membership and program details; childcare can vary).
One of the best in the area with a fantastic childcare facility. It is an upscale fitness center with great group and private programs, personal training, luxurious spas, indoor and outside pools, a wellness center, a cafe, and activities for the whole family.
You name it, they’ve got it at Life Time. Pricing varies, depending on your membership plan, but it is often higher than at most places.
Toddlers can participate in art projects and enjoy playtime both indoors and outdoors on the play equipment. Older kids are sometimes taken to do rock climbing, martial arts, or try kids’ yoga. Until your child is one year old, you do have to schedule daycare, just like registering for classes.
Since they only take a few infants, we always tried to register a week in advance when registration became available.
For kids over the age of 1, you can do an open drop-off. Just the infant section fills up in advance
Kid’s Club Schedule (each location may vary):

- Friday – 8 am to 5 pm

YMCA Plano
Location: 3300 McDermott Road, Plano TX 75025
You need to have a family membership at the Y to get 2 hours of care per day for kids aged 6 weeks to 10 years old. You need to remain onsite throughout. They have a ratio of one qualified childcare staff person per eight children (infant ratio is 1 to 4).
In addition, you can also take advantage of their Parent’s Day Out event on the third Saturday of every month (from 12noon to 4pm). Register one week ahead at the Y.

CLUB4 Fitness Plano
Location: 4220 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024
They have a Kids Club for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, including check‑in/‑out procedures and short‑term childcare while parents work out. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, computer learning, social and physical activities.
Local moms have mentioned rates like $35 or $40 monthly
Kids Club hours of operation
- Monday – Sunday: 8AM – 12:00noon
- Monday – Thursday: 4PM – 8PM
Equinox Plano
Location: 6109 W. Park Boulevard, Plano 75093
- For their kids club, you pay per reservation, usually for up to 2 hours per visit, with a limit of one reservation per child per day. Local Moms report that cost is around $25 (plus tax) per visit, though pricing may vary by location. Reservations do need to be made through the EQX+ app
- Children aged 4 months to 7 years are welcome.
EōS Fitness
Locations: 3500 Preston Rd #100, Plano, TX 75093 and 600 W. 15th Street, Plano 75075
Both of our local EOS Fitness clubs in Plano have a Kids Club (verify with the club for age ranges and hours).
The local club in Plano minimum age for kids is 2 years old (no babies).
You can book the following time slots: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes.
Membership levels have reasonable rates: a local mom signed up in 2024 and pays $27 per month.
Kids Club hours of operation:
- Monday-Thursday 8am – 12noon, 4pm – 8pm
- Friday-Saturday 8am -12noon
Cowboys Fit
Location: 4817 W Park Blvd Suite 800, Plano, TX 75093
Famed for it’s Dallas Cowboys’ brand, this local gym in Plano has a “Rowdy Room” (childcare room) during select hours; parents can reserve time while they work out. It’s never too crowded and the classes are great.
Local moms say their childcare workers are great.
They have a good play area. There are bins of toys like magna tiles, cars, etc and coloring pages for quiet time. There are some small slide/climbing things for toddlers, (but nothing huge) and a tv with a large seating area.
There are 2 Xboxes for the older children but if there are only littles then it doesn’t have to on. Sometimes it will have fun song videos on it.
For babies there are all the walker, bouncers, jumperoo things. It’s a very large area (the largest we have seen of any childcare gyms) so it feels spacious for the kids to move around.
Frisco Athletic Center
Location: 5828 Nancy Jane Lane, Frisco TX 75035
The Frisco Athletic Center offers childcare at The Play Depot during your visit.
Kids aged 8 weeks to 11 years old are accepted. All kids aged 3 and above must be on an active family membership, or you need to purchase an individual/guest pass. Children under two years do not need a day pass.
Kids can be booked in for a maximum of 2 hours per visit while you remain on-site.
The Play Depot has an infant room, a toddler room, and two additional recreation rooms for older kids.
Kids are welcome to visit the Fun Club once a day for a maximum of 2 hours. Parents must remain in the facility at all times.
The Play Depot is split into four rooms based on age and child-to-staff ratios:
- Infant: Little Adventurers Room (8 weeks to walking): 3-to-1 ratio.
- Toddler: Explorers Room (Walking to 3 years old): 10-to-1 ratio.
- Pre-K: Climbers Room (3 to 5-year-old): 15-to-1 ratio.
- Big Kid: Junior Rangers Room (6 to 11-year-old) – 15-to-1 ratio.
Kids Club hours of operation
Monday – Saturday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Monday – Thursday: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Crunch Fitness
Location: 510 North Watters Road, Allen, TX 75013
The Allen location has childcare from 8a-12p and 4-8p but not the Plano location. There are additional costs for their childcare.
Stephen G Terrell Recreation Center
Location: 1680 W Exchange Pkwy, Allen, TX 75013
This is a traditional recreation center with fitness facilities but they also have a supervised playroom/indoor playground that many families use for childcare while adults use the gym (playroom hours vary).
Local Moms say that for the childcare and for the price, Stephen Terrell Rec Center in Allen is amazing! They have safe sleep spaces and stay at the state ratios for childcare.
Boutique Fitness Studios with Childcare
These are specialized studios where you can reserve childcare when booking classes.
Location:

There is no childcare available at the Plano location.
Offers Play Lounge childcare for ages six weeks and older during classes (Plano location does not provide childcare). Providers are CPR‑certified.
Reservations are highly recommended. Please reserve under your name and not your child’s name.
One class and play lounge visit costs $8. Each session has up to 6 children. You can also buy a package of lounge visit passes.
Burn Boot Camp
Locations: 120 West CityLine Drive, Richardson 75082 and 3288 Main Street, Frisco 75034
Membership includes complimentary childwatch for kids ages about eight weeks to 12 years while parents attend workouts.
Neon Cycle + Strength
Location: 5580 State Hwy 121 #200, Plano, TX 75024
Reserve Neon Kids childcare when you sign up for cycling, strength, or yoga classes. Care is available for children ages six months to 12 years; you must reserve online with class bookings. The cost is $8 drop in for one hour.
Stroller Workouts for Moms and Babies: Fit4Mom DFW
Fit4Mom offers a unique way for moms to get a full-body workout without needing to leave their baby in a childcare room. Known for its popular Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre programs, this community-centered fitness group allows moms to bring babies in strollers while participating in instructor-led classes.
What Moms Love
- Workouts include your baby – no need to find separate childcare.
- Outdoor group classes at local parks and shopping centers.
- Built-in community of local moms for support and connection.
- Options across DFW – including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and more.
Fit4Mom Plano
Locations: The Shops at Willow Bend, Coyote Creek Park, Preston Meadow Park
Classes are usually held in the mornings, rain or shine.
Bring water, a yoga mat, stroller, and snacks/toys for baby.
You can often try your first class for free.
They have a variety of classes to try: including Fit4Baby – a 6-week prenatal program, Stroller Strides and Body Well. These are great for moms who are postpartum through toddlerhood.

Thanks for explaining how a gym with a child care center is great for parents who want to interact with other adults while working out. This way the kids get to play with other kids too so it makes it even easier on the parents. I think parents should put their kids’ priorities first so having someone who can watch them, while they do things like going to the gym, is a necessity.
