Once inside, they’ll enjoy climbing on the soft, one-of-a-kind play pieces including a water fountain, slide, sandbox, teeter totter, fire truck, ambulance and merry-go-round, all constructed of hand-sculpted, kid-friendly foam.
Kids can rock and ride the mascots of local high schools — Plano East, Plano West, and Plano Senior High. A hot air balloon lights the play action from above.
Along with an interactive game wall that looks like the hospital, a scavenger hunt in the play area will feature hidden hospital icons for children to find, evoking the popular Highlights magazine often found in doctors’ offices.
The multi-sensory play area includes sound-chip technology, adding surprise and delight to complete the experience. The play area is suitable for children 42 inches or shorter.

Jump World Entertainment in Allen (the old Jump Street) is great, they also have good Groupons during weekdays. The first Saturday of the month they also do a Sensory Jump event for those needing a more calm atmosphere.

We like Polka Dot in the shops off 75 & Stacey Fairview/Allen, EQ Kids in Frisco. We never had great experiences at CooCoos, but we did have a good time at the play area at Prestonwood, though it did tend to get a little warm in there. It's a small place, but it has lots of climbing and exploring to do. The old Aparicio's location is still open last I checked, but now you order at the counter and pick up then seat yourself. But, we can watch the DART go by and the kids like that, too. :) It's been a while since we've been. We also sometimes go to Starbucks and sit on the patio (or inside if manners are good that day or it's just too hot) and they'll have chocolate milk and a cookie or cake pop while I have a coffee. It's not an every day thing, but especially if we can find a place to sit and watch drive through, the kids enjoy spotting cars and people-watching with me.

Thanks for the great ideas Nicky!!! I love the idea of getting coffee or a cake pop and sitting on the patio!
