Blueberry Hill Farms

Head to Van Zandt county, 25 minutes southeast of Canton.
Pick your own blueberries and blackberries in June and July. Families can head out into the fields and fill their buckets with organically grown blueberries and blackberries.
Blueberries cost $2.95 per pound; blackberries run $3 per pound. Blueberry harvest happens in June and July each year.

“We LOVED picking strawberries at H Strawberry Farm! It’s not too far of a drive for such a fun experience. Easy parking (on the grass, but still very close).
The crowds surprised us a bit so I might recommend going during the week if you can.
You definitely want to get there early–we went on opening day and they were almost picked out within 30 minutes of opening. All in all it’s a great activity for small children and my kids had an absolute blast hunting for red strawberries and then cutting them off the stems.
The strawberries were absolutely DELICIOUS!

How does a farm get added to the list. We have a pick-your-own garden in Lucas. Currently we have cherry tomatoes, slicer tomatoes, several colors of bell peppers (including purple!), sweet peppers and hot peppers. We’ll be open Saturday 7am until noon. $2/person gate fee.
