Plano area Businesses offering Additional Childcare during Virtual Learning
Plano
YMCA Learning Academy is a face-to-face program designed to support students who are remote learning through their school district. Y Learning Academy will be led by background checked, trained, and nurturing YMCA staff, as well as a certified teacher for a portion of the day who will assist with remote learning assignments. The Learning Academies are designed to address children’s academic and physical needs, while supporting their emotional well-being too.
Safari Run Plano is offering a 9 week term – starting August 10th (School days only) – October 9th, for Grades 3-5 only from 7.30am – 3.30pm. Limited to 12 kids. 2 team members for the Pod of 12. Cost $250
Adventure Kids Plano is offering homework helpers, flexible care and enrichment classes in Science, Art, Steam and Entrepreneurs Club
Primrose School of Plano at Preston Meadow has a Full Day Explorer Program for grades 1-3, including Virtual Learning Support for local ISD remote classes and assignments, plus extra enrichment
Primrose School of Chase Oaks in Plano is offering Routine based school aged programs in small groups. Their teachers will help the child complete their ISD assignments and have zones for different activities and outside time on the playground, soccer field and basketball court.
Kids r Kids Legacy West is offering a Full Day program for K-5th grade, with extended hours from 6.30am – 6pm with engaged teachers to oversee the classroom and activity clubs after school, meals and snacks.
Pure Athlete Center has a program with small classes/pods (5-10 students) and quality teachers to assist kids with their ISD’s curriculum both while they are online and with their asynchronous learning. Art, Music and PE will be available. Kids aged Pre-K to 12th grade, starting at $100 a week.
Bricks, Bots and Beakers can take students K-5th grade – limit of 8 kids for Social Distancing to take part in ISD instruction and Brain breaks will be offered with interactive activities. The Day starts at 7.45am – 3.15pm. Cost starts at $175 for half day/$275 for full day.
North Texas Performing Arts Academy is offering their Core Cafe for use for students in Grades 6-12 to come and complete online course work under the supervision of a Core Learning Counselor, with access to 6 tutors with different specialities. From 8am – 5pm, they’ll have 50 students as a cap. This is offered in Plano, Dallas, Fairview and Frisco.
Frisco
Fieldhouse USA has a Virtual Learning Support Program for K-8th grades with Proctors guiding students through their coursework and with logging into the ISD curriculum online in addition to offering PE/Camp activities after school. Maximum capacity of 40 kids with a weekly commitment. Breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack is provided with the cost of registration, approx $60 a day.
