We hear constantly that shopping locally is better for the environment and our bodies. Lucky for us we have some farms and even stores and markets and sell local produce that makes it very convenient to purchase. Here’s a look at some of the best places to get local produce in Collin County.
At Gober Grass Fed Farms, there is a restored relationship between the family farm and the community it serves. Here, husband and wife team, Justin and Wendy Gober, proudly graze grass-fed, grass-finished beef, pasture raised chicken, and truly free range chicken and duck eggs. Raw honey is also available in the summer.
Located just 30 minutes east of the metroplex, Gober Grass Fed Farms offers cuts by the pound, bundled packages, and bulk/wholesale orders. Customers are welcome to visit the farm, or orders may be picked up at any farm to freezer drop location around the metroplex. Delivery to your door is free within 50 miles of Kaufman, TX (this includes all of Plano, TX!) for orders of $100 or more.
