4th of July Events and Happenings

The 4th of July is fast approaching. There are so many events and things to do for the entire weekend. Here’s your guide to make it the best 4th of July yet. We’ve found events that will keep you busy for the whole weekend. Get your sunscreen and lawn chairs ready. Here are some 4th of July events you do not want to miss!

June 24th:

Market Street Allen’s USA Celebration: Family fun all day starts at 4pm at Celebration Park, Fireworks begin after dark

Monday, July 3rd:

Addison Kaboom Town  This is event gets a LOT of people so be mindful that it’s going to be very crowded! Park opens at 4 pm.

Independence Day Celebration (Farmers’ Branch) Live music, Kids Zone, and Firework shows. This was recommended by other Plano Moms as not very crowded in years past and so fun! Gates open at 6:30. Firework show starts after dark.

Tuesday, July 4th:

Plano 4th of July Parade: Starts at 9 and ends near the Aquatic Center. Bring your lawn chairs and coolers!

Red, White, and Boom (McKinney) Parade, contests, all day a family fun and a firework show at night.

Frisco Fireworks:  All day events and a firework show at 10pm

Richardson’s Family 4th Celebration (Breckenridge Park)

July Jubilee (Little Elm) Live music, family fun starts at 5pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm

Plano’s 4th of July Celebration (Amphitheater at Oak Point) Food trucks will start at 5, fireworks show at 9: 30. Don’t want to get stuck in the crowds for this show? Here are some Mom tips:

  • If you want to bypass the crowds and just see the fireworks then lots of people bring lawn chairs and start parking/sitting out along Parker Road and Jupiter and even further down. Sam’s Club might have people there as well as at Collin College parking lot. These places are close enough so that you can see the show and not get stuck in the craziness!
  • Bring your own chairs/drinks/food to save money.
  • Pack bug spray and don’t forget the sunscreen too!

What will you be doing this 4th of July?  Don’t see your favorite 4th of July event on this list? Let us know and we’ll add it in!
