You’ll find many camps in Plano, TX for Middle School Kids and higher, some with weekly field trips and others with outdoor activities.

Summer camps for Teens

North Texas Performing Arts

Theatre camps are a great way for children to explore literature in a fun and creative way. Kids will transform into a superhero, a princess, or their favorite storybook character as they bring popular stories to life on stage at North Texas Performing Arts exciting theatre summer programs! With summer learning opportunities for ages 5 to 18, there’s a spot for everyone to learn from our professional directors, actors, and singers who have worked everywhere from Broadway to L.A.

Week-long camps are available in half-day and full-day options for ages 5-14 and two-week productions are available for all ages, K-12! Each one-week camp has a different theme based on popular children’s stories like Descendants, Frozen, and Harry Potter. There are a dozen options for two-week productions, and there’s truly something for all ages, from Frozen Kids to Legally Blonde JR to Band Geeks!

Plus, it’s the perfect time to try out a theatre program at NTPA, because new students get 50% off their first camp or production! Programs are available at NTPA’s Plano, Fairview, Frisco and Dallas locations all summer long.

Club Sci-Kidz Dallas

Up to 7th grade

Club SciKidz Dallas offers 35 different themed “STEAM” day camps for children ages 4-13 at eleven locations in Plano, Prosper, Dallas, Lewisville, and Garland. Their camps operate Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm with optional extended care available (8am-5:30pm); and are super exciting, challenging, and appealing to all kids!  Camps sell out early each year, so don’t delay in registering.

Price: $250 – $350 (Multi-session and Multi-sibling discounts are automatically applied during our checkout process.)

Lone Star Circus Summer Camp

Lone Star Circus

Up to 10th grade.

Kids, here’s your chance to run away with the circus for a week. Discover the thrill of becoming a circus star! It is a great way to make new friends!

They inspire campers to discover their unique sense of creative expression by providing opportunities to reach new potentials and expand skills.

Lone Star Circus camps are a day-camp experience designed to introduce children at any level of physical development and skill the excitement of circus arts including aerial silks, aerial ring, trapeze, juggling, contortion, rolla bola and balancing.

Camp Hours: 9 am – 4 pm (extended hours 8.30 am – 4.30 pm)

Dallas International School – Summer Enrichment Camp

Suitable for all students through 12th grade.

The DIS Summer Enrichment Camp is a 6-week program open to all and designed to provide campers with the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities in a safe and caring environment. Our camp is designed to give campers ages 3 to 17 experiential learning activities and a chance to explore a wide range of interests in a safe and caring environment.

Campers may enroll in a full or half-day program for any combination of activities they choose. For example, a child may sign up for a morning of French camp and an afternoon of cooking or art workshop. 

Small activity groups of 8 to 10 students are created based on age and skills.  

Students enrolled in a full-day program are automatically signed up for lunch at no additional cost.  

Our extended day option allows parents to drop off their children as early as 7:30 am and pick them up as late as 6:00 pm. During those hours, parents have the option of signing up their children for special activities such as one-on-one piano lessons or art workshops.

Genesis Children’s Theatre

Up to 12th grade.

Genesis is committed to providing each student with the skills to be successful on stage and in life.

This is a program that puts the lives of the students above all else. We walk through challenges WITH our students and are never too busy to have conversations about life off the stage.

This philosophy coupled with exciting programming and a staff with unequaled experience has allowed Genesis to grow to its current reach of over 400 families and earned Genesis the title of “Best Children’s Theatre in Plano” for three years in a row.

Genesis Childrens Theatre only single casts shows. Tuition at Genesis Childrens Theatre includes all costumes.  There is not a requirement to purchase a block of tickets to performances.

Camp Gan Israel

Summer Camp

Up to 7th grade.

Camp Gan Israel, is one of the largest and fastest-growing networks of Jewish Day Camps in the world.

Camp Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school routine. It is a comprehensive program that includes field trips, swimming, sports, creativity, crafts and more. Campers of all ages enjoy a wide range of exciting activities and field trips in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. At Camp Gan Izzy, your child will experience a rich and wholesome summer of fun and excitement that will give him or her memories to last the whole year.

Artivity Central

Up to 11th grade.

Art campers will be inspired by past and present artists and have the opportunity to create original artworks in a variety of mediums – drawing, painting, fiber arts, clay and found objects. Each day campers will learn new art techniques and with each – art making adventure!

The 5 day (Mon – Fri) camps are available in the morning and afternoon. 

Morning camps are designed for 5 – 8 years. 2 hours daily. $155 including supplies.

Afternoon camps are designed for 9 – 12 years. 3 hours daily. $235 including supplies.

Please bring a nut free snack daily and refillable water bottle. 

Camps will need a minimum of 5 campers to confirm camp. 7 max.

Teen Camps for 13 – 16 year olds. July 10 – July 14 9 am – 12 pm. Cost $235 including supplies.
