Where to shop for Healthy Foods?

We have some great places to workout and get fit for you, but what about eating healthier? Luckily, there are some wonderful grocery stores and places around us to help you to get some ideas and even shop for healthy foods and produce.
From Farmers Markets to local farms, we have you covered on shopping for healthy foods! Many also deliver or offer curbside pick up!

Farmers Markets
Willow Bend Farmers Market: Every Saturday from 9 am – 2 pm local vendors will be set up by the mall in the parking lot near the food court entrance. Everything from grass-fed beef, local honey, salsa, sweets, and more!
Frisco Farmers Market: Put on by the rotary club of Frisco. They offer many vendors selling fresh foods. They are open every Saturday from May until October from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm or sell out. Their location is always at 4th street between Main and Elm.
McKinney Farmers Market: The Historic Farmers Market at Chestnut Square and Adriatica is a LOCAL farmers market featuring meats, dairy, vegetables and more that are grown or made within eight hours of McKinney. Location: 315 S Chestnut St. This is held in both the winter and spring. See website for dates.
Downtown Plano Farmers Market: A new Farmers Market is coming to the Arts District! The market will be hosted by Georgias Farmers Market at 916 East 15th St in Downtown Plano. It will take place every Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM, with the grand opening set for March 18.
Some Sundays will have entertainment, so that shoppers can enjoy live music as they browse through produce, baked goods, and other items. Friends and neighbors will be able to come together at the market to shop and support local businesses!

Food Subscription Boxes
Have you ever tried a food subscription box before? They are so convenient and can really save you time by not having to do the shopping for the food, all you do is pick out your meals and then cook them from the comfort of your own home.
I have personally used a few below and was really amazed at the experience. My kids even helped me cook and I loved all the healthy choices for meals.

Local Grocery Stores and Food Markets
Sprouts Farmers Market: If you haven’t shopped at Sprouts, you should really give it a try! It’s a specialty chain grocery store that offers a range of natural & organic grocery items. Not to mention they have an awesome vitamin section!! You can find great stuff here at great prices. The store in Plano is located at 4100 E Legacy Dr, #401.
Aldi: Aldi is a chain grocery store that offers unbelievable prices and has many healthy food choices. Have you given it a try? You should get their weekly flyer and you can see the prices they offer on produce can’t be beat! There are a few differences to Aldi that make it not like a regular store. They are smaller stores, they don’t have as many choices for each food item, and they have a lot of private brands so you might recognize them. Definitely check it out and I bet you even save some money! There are 2 stores in Plano; one at 2220 Coit Road and 2400 K Avenue.
Snap Kitchen: Grab and go health-focused meals, snacks, and juices. Located in the Shops of Legacy at 5717 Legacy Dr, 75024.
Whole Foods: A wide range of fresh produce, ready made meals to take home, a huge deli counter and range of pantry and frozen foods, organic and naturally sourced. The Plano location is at 2201 Preston Road, Plano, TX 75093
