Where can you get your Christmas Tree Nearby?

Check out this list of some of the Christmas tree farms near the DFW area.

It’s the most wonderful time of year, the best way to get into the holiday spirit is to kick it off with an all-time favorite tradition, that is, picking up a high quality, real Christmas tree from a local Christmas tree farm nearby.

It is a beautiful sight to see a real Christmas tree all decked out with lights and ornaments, even if we miss out on a White Christmas this year.

In fact, just heading out to one of these farms really should be one of our 31 things to do this Winter along with scheduling your Photos with Santa, for sure!

Real Christmas trees

So if you want to have an adventure this year, then get the whole family into the spirit of the season and hunt for that special tree that is definitely a realistic tree, because it is!

Have fun and all the best in cutting your own Christmas tree – there’ll be no artificial Christmas tree for you this year!

Know before you go – Cutting your own Christmas Tree

Measure the space in your car to make sure you’ll be able to accommodate the tree, and don’t forget to bring twine, bungees, scissors, and anything else you might need to secure the tree in (or on) your car.

Some people like decking out the home for the holidays straight after Thanksgiving, but if you’re putting up a real tree, it’s best to wait. Even trees that are watered regularly get dried out within three weeks of cutting, so try to resist the urge to decorate the tree too early!

Wear. the right clothes if you’re heading out to cut the tree yourself: Put on a pair of sturdy boots, pack a pair of heavy work gloves, and wear close-fitting clothes.

Look for freshness! To find out if a tree is fresh, tug lightly on the needles: If they stay put, then your tree should stay green and supple well until Christmas.

Try to cut your Christmas tree as low to the ground as you possibly can. This will not only make it a taller tree, but it will also allow another tree to re-sprout and spread Christmas cheer to future tree-hunters.
