I would love to run the half marathon to show my daughter that’s (16) the importants of setting goals as a mother. It’s healthy to set goals as an adult and it’s ok to have mommy time running.

I am running regardless now. Super excited to see the balloons. All the balloon festivals in Oklahoma have been cancelled so I want to bring my two babies and wife to see it.

Hi there, I am a mom of an almost five year old boy. I am looking to run the half marathon. I really started my health journey last September. I had had some health problem between a Giant Cell Tumor on my foot and Endometriosis. Over the year I had several survives for both and I was run down from all the medication. I also had gained weight from not being active. 5 Days after my last surgery, I decided to really commit to change! I got healthy by eating right and Working out. My love carried over and I went to school to become a personal trainer. I am now certified and helping others get healthy too. This race is another step up the ladder and to also show others they can overcome struggles too. At one time ,I was not sure I would ever to able to run again! Now I push on!

I did my first 5k ever in July. The original plan was to do it with my 9yo son but that race 5k wouldn’t allow kids younger than 10yo to participate. I would ❤️ another chance to run with my kiddo at the Plano Ballon festival!

I have been training for this half with a neighbor/ mother runner but have yet to register. I had strep on the last half I ran and would love to run this race for redemption. I’ve also heard the course is great!

We just moved here from Washington State and my fitness goals took a back seat as we dealt with getting everything sorted through and helping our kiddos adjust. I’m looking for a way to get back to it!

I used to be very active and exercise to stay in shape. Then I had kids and it seems I never could find the time anymore. Now that the kiddos are 5 and 3 it’s time to focus on myself again so I can stay a healthy and less-stressed mom. I’m turning 40 this year. September 23rd, to be exact! I’d like to kickstart this milestone year with a 5k and Just keep the exercise going from there. And being able to see the balloons, too? Wow. That would be, just, amazing.

That’s great Rachel! Yes, the balloons do a launch in the morning so you could see them as you run! Good luck!!

I did this one last year and loved it. I’ve slacked a bit but need some motivation to get going again.

I’d love to run the 5k to get a new personal best race time. I’ve only run a times race once before, because I’ve had a lot of injury issues. But I’m in my best running shape, and injury-free for months, so I’m ready to take on another challenge!!!

I am 42 years and want to do something new, something meaningful. Half marathon is one of my dream. I always struggle with running. So this is a great opportunity for me to conguer my fear and struggle and be a good example to my 2 years old daughter. I want to tell her that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
