We love chasing shiny and new activities and places to go, and for Kids around Collin County and North Dallas, there is no shortage of great new Playgrounds and Parks to try!

The newest playgrounds and parks are usually better designed, for comfort, safety and accessibility for kids, and interesting interactive features for roleplay as well as shade for the hottest days!

Monarch View Park (Frisco)

Monarch View Park is a butterfly sanctuary located along the Monarch butterfly’s migration path!

This unique park features a beautiful art installation, a zipline, and trails lined with wildflowers and native plants. It’s a great park to add to your list to explore.

Helpful Tips

It’s close to Hope Park, so you can easily visit both. There is no restroom at Bicentennial Park, but local businesses and Hope Park are nearby for pit stops.


McCord Park & Splash Pad (Little Elm)

This is a super fun park/splash pad, surrounded by trails and green space. Perfect as one of our new playgrounds and parks, for a family day out!

Joya at Oran Good Park

Welcome Joya at Oran Good Park, recently completed by Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation

It glows in the dark and has an 18,000-sqft main playground (for ages 6+) with a six-level climbing sphere, zipline, swings, obstacle course, and seating that glows. Add to that a 7,000-sqft fenced tot playground (for ages 2-5) with a natural sensory play area and turf!

The long awaited renovations include new playground equipment for big kids and little kids (great for climbers!), a zip line, a beautiful pavilion with a grill, a multi-use court, new landscape, irrigation and walkways with lighting.

My kids absolutely loved it and I hope yours will too!
