Let’s talk a little bit about mental health because I believe this is just as important as physical health! What is mental health? It is merely the absence of mental disorder or illness. It refers to our emotional, psychological, behavioral and social health. It includes how we feel, think, and behave and helps determine how we interact with others, how we handle daily stress and make choices. Mental health is significant at every stage of our lives, so we have to take care of it too.
Relaxation is one way to get our mental health in order. However, it is not that easy to get one these days. "It's so hard to relax and take a good rest these days," says a friend. And I totally agree. It's not just me for sure. It happens to almost all of us, even our little kids who are just as busy as we are. When it is a holiday or school break, we finally get some time off, and we are going to relax and restore ourselves. But uh oh... not really, somehow, it just doesn’t seem to happen. The demands of daily life are so intense and never-ending.

Eat Healthy - Keep in mind to always check with your doctor if you have issues with eating.
· Less Sugar and Low Carbohydrates
Many studies have shown that low-carb diets can help you lose weight fast and control diabetes or better control pre-diabetes. By just eliminating sweetened drinks can significantly reduce your carbs. And, by cutting down the bread, potatoes, pasta and rice intake, it will make a big difference to combat weight gain as well as eating slowly.
· Eat High Healthy Protein
As many say that eating more protein will help subdue your hunger and appetite for hours after eating.
· Eat Fruits and Vegetables
U.S. dietary guidelines, recommend between 1-1/2 to 2 cups of fruit, and between 2 to 2-1/2 cups of vegetables a day, depending on age and gender. So, make sure to remember this when you go to do your grocery shopping. It is easy to get destructed so the moment you get in the store, go straight to produce and grab the green you need or like.

Simple as that. You've probably heard the advice all your life that we need to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. It is not a challenging goal, and most of the healthy people stay hydrated by drinking water and other beverage whenever they feel thirsty. But for some people, less than eight glasses a day is just enough, and maybe other people may need more.
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids for men, about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women. These recommendations include fluids from water, other types of beverages, and food.
