The Jack Carter All-Abilities Park

Check out the Jack Carter Park – Plano’s first all-abilities park!

It’s so nice for all kids and abilities.

Jack Carter Park

Jack Carter Park is a beautiful park that will serve kids of all abilities.

It’s located at  2800 Maumelle Drive, Plano.

This is the former location of Jack Carter Pool for those of you that have lived in Plano for awhile.

The playground is designed for children of all abilities to play, learn and grow together and will include experiences that involve movement, climbing and a mix of tactile, visual and auditory experiences.

The parkopened to the public on April 24th, 2018. The Mayor of Plano and other city officials were there the ribbon cutting ceremony.

There are several great bigger pieces to play on and the ground is all cushioned to help kids if they fall. The park itself is really nice with a lot for kids to do but the grounds area is really great for parents and families too.

There are several tables that can be used and restrooms on site. There is a great entertainment area and a nice pond to walk around.

Make a day out of this and bring a picnic to enjoy the entire park. There are several tables that are covered and a very nice large open pavilion that will serve for great parties. Reserving these tables is first come, first serve.

Another nice feature of the park is a giant sand volleyball court! Bring some cups, shovels, and buckets to provide loads of entertainment and fun for kids.

This is just one of the best Parks in Plano and Splash Pads available for kids with Special Needs and All Abilities
