Creek Camp is the perfect opportunity for campers to GET OUTSIDE and PLAY. At Creek Camp our campers have fun with science while keeping cool during our hot Texas summer! Children will take daily trips down the creek to explore plant and animal life and learn about the eco-system. Campers will also conduct experiments, learn to be a part of a team and have a better understanding of what life was like over 100 years ago. In an effort to keep cool there will be a myriad of water games.

Creek Camp Dates
Session I: June 24-28
Session II: July 15-19
Session III: July 29-Aug 3

Pioneer Camp:
Pioneer Camp at the Heritage Farmstead Museum encourages campers to put away the gadgets of today and experience farm life in the middle of downtown Plano. It is 4 hours of good old fashioned fun with a smattering of chores which include caring for our sheep, chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, and donkey. Where else can you experience days gone by activities like Croquet, Graces, Horse shoes, Badminton, Sack racess and honest to goodness watermelon eatin’ contests? Campers will receive hands-on outdoor cooking lessons and there will be time to cool off with water games which include the bucket brigade and water relays.

Pioneer Camp Dates
Session I: June 3-7
Session II: June 10-14
Session III July 8-12

Hi, I’m Abbie, super mom, and busy-bee who moved to Plano from London, England with my husband and 2 kids, Jesse and Lucy, in the Summer of 2013. Plano Moms was my lifeline when I arrived as I didn’t know anyone or anything about my new city that I now called home. Where did I start to make friends and meet moms like me? How did I know who were the best hairstylists, or dentists or pre-school options for my kids? Which area should I look for to find the right home and school for my son? All these questions were answered by Plano Moms, like me. I found a lifeline in it and chose to build it into the community it is today – 15,000 moms sharing ideas, tips, referrals and making connections with each other through Social Media, Planomoms.com, events & regular email newsletters! When I’m not being a Plano Mom or being a taxi service to my kids, I am coaching & consulting local businesses, working out, cooking and reading (when I find the time!)
