Trick or Treat – October is filled with so many Halloween events for kids!
Have you been able to attend any of the Fall Festivals around North Dallas?
Some trick or treat nearby is nearly every weekend and pumpkin patches in Dallas and Collin County are awesome!! Now it’s time to think about Halloween events just the kids. Halloween can be such a fun and exciting time. It’s hard when the actual day falls on a school day. So many churches and places now offer family friendly and safe events. Many of these are even free and so are haunted house for kids! We love attending some of these because not only is it fun and safe but we get some more wear out of our costumes!!

Here’s a look at some great Halloween events for kids happening in Dallas and Collin County.

Events around Dallas Fort Worth
Dates: October 2 and October 3, 7pm
Address: American Airlines Center Silver Parking Garage.
Cost: $30 a vehicle for kid friendly version and $40 for all of it which includes the top level with a bit scarier stuff.
Totally non-contact but family friendly Halloween Event in Downtown Dallas the American Airlines Center Silver Parking Garage.
Drive Through Spooky Exhibits with Circus Skills and Halloween Icons and Characters. You can also VIP upgrade to the “top floor” where the scares are more intense and less child-friendly! More info

Six Flags over Texas – Halloween Fest “A Spooktacular Celebration of Freaky Frights”
Dates: September 26th until Nov 1.

If you visit during the day, you’ll notice HallowFest enhancements throughout the park with spooky photo opportunities, a Trick-or-Treat Trail, and plenty of frighteningly delicious treats!
By Night, all Halloween attractions will be transported outdoors to the wide-open midways with Creepy fog, eerie lighting, larger than life Halloween props and sinister music. This creates the perfect backdrop for nighttime scares and chills; including four hair-raising Halloween zones for guests to experience throughout the park. You can fly through the air at high speeds in total darkness on rides like Titan, New Texas Giant, MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast, JOKER, SUPERMAN Tower of Power, and Shock Wave; and
Halloween-themed merchandise and scary apparel will be on sale along with everybody’s favorite glow-in-the-dark items.
Please make note of the Costume Policy: Guests 10 Years & Younger
- May wear a full costume to include masks and full face painting if accompanied by an adult. Morph suits and bodysuits are not permitted.
If they are alone or with other same age children, then they must comply with the policy for Guests 13 Years & Older.
- Costume masks must be immediately removed if instructed to do so by park personnel.
Guests 11 Years & Older may wear costumes with the following provisions, NO EXCEPTIONS:
- Masks may only cover the mouth and nose.
- Partial face paint is allowed as long as it does not disguise the facial features (no more than 50% of the face may be painted).
ALL GUESTS: All costumes must accommodate or include a mask that covers your mouth and nose

The resort provides a treat bag and ghostly goodies along their spooky Trick-or-Treat trail during a Costume parade. They also offer a Spooktacular Story time and a Monster Bash Dance Party at the resort.
Goblins and Giggles at the Gaylord Texan
Dates: September 11 – October 31, 2020

Spend a Staycation Weekend at the Gaylord Texan to celebrate their Goblins & Giggles activities, pricing starts at $259. The package includes a one-night stay, a Hide and Seek Scavenger Hunt booklet and two tickets to Canvas and Pumpkin Decorating. The package excludes resort fee and parking.
They’ll have spooky animal encounters and a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt, pumpkin decorating, ghost stories (live!), an escape room and a trick-or-treat expedition. Most of the activations take place Friday through Sunday.
Guests can also enjoy other themed activities including family-favorite Halloween movie showings on the big screen, interactive trivia, bingo and Bedtime Stories with Morgana the Witch on their in-room television

Family Fun at the Arboretum

This year the theme is “The Art of the Pumpkin” – The Pumpkin Village has more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. Perfect for pics! They also do a week of family fun sticker treating, crafts, and a scavenger hunt maze in the Pecan Grove. Wear your costume and don’t forget your trick-or-treat bag!
