Summer of Sculpture:ZimSculpt

This is a chance to see more than 100 hand-selected, important modern sculptures artfully displayed throughout the acclaimed Dallas Arboretum. ZimSculpt features exquisite sculptures of several dozen contemporary Zimbabwean artists displayed throughout the garden.

Community Concert

Saturday, May 15th from 5-8 pm we have live music with Mahagonie on the McCall Plaza Stage in Downtown Plano.

Sunday May 16

Plano Symphony Orchestra Family Series 2021

This 45-minute performance features string quartet, flute and harp, and soloists from the Ballet Ensemble of Texas exploring how music sets a mood and brings characters to life. Selections will include Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Peter and the Wolf, music from Romeo and Juliet, the Arabian Nights, and more to teach kids about the woodwind and string families of the orchestra. Families with children ages 2-12 are sure to enjoy this storytelling through music!

Sand Castles & Story Time

Join us for a morning of fun and relaxation on the new swim beach at Stewart Creek Park! Storytime, read by your favorite characters (Session 1: Ariel from the Little Mermaid) will run from 9:00 – 10:00am followed by an hour of building sand castles on the beach. Prizes will be awarded each session for the best castles! Registration fee of $5/family includes entry into the park for one vehicle. TC Outdoor Families

The $50/family (up to 5 people) registration fee includes use of a tent, two cots for adults, foam sleeping pads for children, a lantern, and all activity supplies. All you need to bring is bedding, personal items, food for the weekend (a dutch oven is included in the camping kits) and an open mind that’s ready for adventure! Over the weekend we will camp, fish, kayak, geocache, and more.

Join Explorium Denton Children Museum for this Summer Fundraiser Kickoff Event! Above & Beyond Fest will feature demonstrations by the Dallas Area Kitefliers Organization and the North Texas Aeromodelers. There will be food trucks, photo opportunities, and tons of outdoor fun!
