Windhaven Academy - Child Care and Preschool

Windhaven Academy is an independently, family-owned, licensed child care and preschool in Plano, TX.

We offer care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. We also have After School and Summer programs available for children up to 12 years old. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm. We currently also offer Part-Time for children 18 months and older.

Current ownership took over in August of 2019 and revamped all the programs and remodeled the entire building. Assia Mahmood is a mom of 2 young children who also attend Windhaven Academy. Her motivation behind Windhaven came from her own journey. When her 1st daughter was born she sent her to the daycare next door at just 6 weeks old. That experience brought Windhaven Academy to where it is today.

Windhaven Academy is a daycare and preschool FOR moms and dads of young children, FROM a mom and dad of young children. It is a loving environment of learning that is focused on the health, happiness, and safety of the children. We provide an experience that eases the lives of parents through our unwavering commitment to customer service and communication.

Also, as mentioned before, Windhaven Academy is independently owned. 

This means that even though our facility, practices, and programs are on par with other elite childcare centers for kids in the area, we don’t have to pay franchise fees. 

This allows us to keep our tuition lower than other schools in the same category in order to provide for savings for parents.

This also means that if we want to improve aspects of our program, we don’t have to ask for corporate permission!

We aim to create an environment where children feel loved and safe. Aside from academics, we also aim to teach them good manners, self esteem, and respect for others.
