The Academy of Classical Karate

They offer traditional Karate that focuses on learning quality martial arts skills, character development, and self-discipline in an active and positive environment.

Located at Custer Road and 15^th they offer two kids classes:

The first focuses on ages 3-6 where students learn coordination, gross motor skills, and having fun in a classroom environment! (Taught by athletes on Team USA!)

The second class will challenge ages 7-12. Students will learn how to build healthy lifestyles through hard work and self-respect. In this class kids learn about the Academy of Classical Karate’s 5 core traits of Courage, Courtesy, Humility, Integrity, and Self-Control.

Their Mission Statement is “Better Lives Through the Study of Karate.”The Academy of Classical Karate’s Kids Program is led by Dr. Vincent Garcia, who is an elementary school principal in the DFW metroplex. He has his Doctorate in Education and has taught Karate for over 20 years. Dr. Garcia started training at the Academy of Classical Karate when he was eleven years old and continues to be an active part of the Karate school.

Several qualified instructors also teach in their Kids Program, including Mr. Tom Scott, who is Team Captain for the United States Karate team. All of the instructors started at the Academy of Classical Karate as beginners and continue to stay at the dojo because they see the benefits of training in such a great martial arts community.
