A Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) has completed education and training established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. All RDs must:
-Complete at least a 4-year degree which includes an accredited nutrition curriculum
-Complete an extensive supervised program of practice
-Pass a national registration exam
-Maintain continuing education credits in order to keep the RD certification
