Ages 10 – 18 at SMU.

Activities and Special Events

  • Learn what it takes to make it in the sports broadcasting industry

  • Train with top professional sportscasters

  • Meet professional athletes and coaches

  • Develop public speaking, writing, recording and editing skills

  • Create sports anchor and sideline reporting videos like ESPN, Bleacher Report and more

  • Learn how to report on college and professional sports including NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, MLS, Olympics and esports games

  • Record play-by-play broadcasts at professional sports events

  • Tour professional sports arenas and broadcasting studios

  • Host your own sports talk radio and sports debate shows like ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption (PTI)

  • Practice sports social media, podcasting and entrepreneurship

  • Improve team building and professional development skills

  • Attend a Major/Minor League baseball game (dependent upon league schedules)

  • Have fun with your friends and fellow sports fans!

Overnight Option

Evening activities include attending a Major/Minor League game (if possible), wiffle ball, basketball, sports games, and much more
