Since 1952, Camp Young Judaea Texas has provided life-changing summers to thousands of Jewish children! Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, CYJ offers a fun, supportive environment where campers can explore, challenge themselves, and develop their passions. Here, kids of all abilities, backgrounds, and denominations can strengthen their Jewish identities and build their love for Israel, all while surrounded by beautiful facilities and expert staff.
Activities range from sports to arts and crafts, waterfront to the ropes course, and everything in between. Of course, we can’t forget s’mores at the campfire, Maccabia (color war), and Tiyul (field trip day)! And nothing beats Shabbat at CYJ, where campers enjoy special activities and camp traditions, including the famous CYJ coffee cake on Shabbat morning.
We have programs from incoming second graders all the way through tenth graders. Each year builds on the last, with increasing opportunities for leadership and responsibilities within camp. For second and third graders there is an 11-day taste of camp program, and third graders and older get to enjoy camp for the full three-and-a-half-week session.
CYJ is a place where kids can be kids, where lifelong friendships are born, and where campers can be themselves and know they belong.
